This was our second visit to this property and we have thoroughly enjoyed both stays. The property is clean, comfortable and well equipped. The outdoor space is fantastic – the children loved the huge gardens and pool. Lots of places to visit nearby and plenty of activities such as cycling and canoeing on the river. Would definitely recommend this property and also hope to visit again ourselves.

Really pleased with the accommodation and has everything you would need for a self catering apartment. The grounds and pool area extremely well kept with a great fishing location too. Andrew was really friendly and helpful and gave us a very nice welcome pack on arrival which was much appreciated as we arrived quite late. Would highly recommend.

What a well kept secret the La Garonne apartment is! This has to be the most spacious accommodation we have ever stayed in. The property is well equipped, clean, well maintained and is set in beautiful grounds. We spent a lot of time in the swimming pool, which was clean and much appreciated whilst we enjoyed the fantastic weather. The photos and description on the website don’t do it justice. The owners, Andrew and Tony, personally welcomed us on arrival, which was a nice touch, and visited daily, which was handy, as it was great to have English speaking guides on hand to point us in the right direction for local events. Andrew really looked after us and made our stay very relaxing. He really couldn’t do enough to ensure our comfort. We mostly self-catered at “La Garonne”, which was made easier with the well equipped kitchen, and access to the owners vegetable garden. We can recommend the orange tomatoes! We did most of our food shopping at the local supermarket, Auchan, which was about 5 minutes drive away, on the edge of Villeneuve. Eating out, we went to the night markets, which are held weekly in the surrounding villages. Trestle tables are set up in the village square for locals and tourists alike to turn up, eat good food, drink good wine, enjoy the entertainment and soak up the atmosphere – all very French! With such a good base to relax in, we didn’t do that much sightseeing; however, we did visit Bordeaux one day, which is just under 2 hours travel by car, and we can thoroughly recommend it for the architecture, shopping and restaurants. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing holiday and would thoroughly recommend the accommodation to our family and friends.

We stayed, with our two small children, for the second time in this wonderful apartment. It is spacious, clean and with a very nice, relaxing atmosphere. There is even a welcoming package in the fridge and kitchen! The grounds and pool are very well kept and the owner Andrew a very nice and friendly man. I would highly recommend La Baise for families.
