Care of Property, Damage and Breakages
The client agrees to take good care of the property and its contents and fittings and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. During summer weekly rentals La Baise and Le Lot apartments will require a €150 or £125 deposit , paid in cash, against damage and/or breakage(s). La Garonne will require a larger deposit against damage and/or breakage(s) of
€450 or £375 which may be paid in cash or by cheque. Winter monthly rentals of La Baise and Le Lot apartments will require a security deposit equivalent to one months rental. The deposit will be taken on arrival and providing there is no damage and/or breakage(s) it will be returned to you within 14 days of your departure. Unless you have availed yourselves of our ‘Up & Leave’ Cleaning Service if your gite needs additional cleaning after your departure, the cost of this will be deducted from the above deposit. Should any damage and/or breakage(s) exceed the deposit the holidaymaker is responsible for making full restitution for the damage and/or breakages.

Bike hire
Aquitaine Gites will check that the bikes are in good condition for use before making them available to guests. Aquitaine Gites will ensure that each group of bikes hired out will have a hand pump, a spare inner tube, a basic tool kit and puncture repair kit, an emergency tyre fill foam spray and a chain and lock. Aquitaine Gites will also make available crash helmets and florescent jackets for your use.

Guests should check the bikes when they are made available to make sure they are happy with their condition and that all the above mentioned items are included. Guests are responsible for the bikes once they have accepted them and are responsible for any damage or loss whilst in their care.

If the spray foam is used due to a puncture that could not be fixed with the puncture repair kit we will require the guest to provide a replacement spray foam can and inner tube to replace the original or a payment to cover the cost of a replacement. If any of the provided equipment is lost or broken we will require the guest to replace the equipment or pay an amount equivalent to the cost of replacement.

Aquitaine Gites may ask for a deposit specific and separate from the property deposit when guests hire the bikes.

The bikes can be hired from a half day (either a morning or afternoon) to full weeks and can be hired individually or as a group. Bikes will be made available for morning hire late the evening before.

Morning hire will normally be between 7am and 2pm. Afternoon hire will normally be between 2pm and 9pm. Day hire will normally be between 7am and 9pm. Weekly hire will normally run from 10am on the first day of hire to 10am on the seventh day of hire.

Andrew will make every effort to be on site when you want to return the bikes but if he is not around please lock the bikes together in the shed and lock the shed. If you leave the site before Andrew has arrived and the hire period has finished please post the padlock keys in the post box outside the main gate.
